Exploring Halifax cont.
Today we all were assigned our watches on the ship, we got to meet our group of people that we would be working with for the rest of our journey across the Atlantic. In these watches we worked on things such as orienting ourselves with the ropes and sails and their names and uses.
The working language on board is German so therefore we are learning these sailing terms in a new language. This is a great opportunity to establish a group mentality while simultaneously learning some words and phrases in a new language.
After orientation we continued to meet new people and explore the city.
